{"id":1401,"date":"2022-04-11T13:12:39","date_gmt":"2022-04-11T13:12:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/antiviolence-net.eu\/eavn\/?p=1401"},"modified":"2023-04-11T13:22:45","modified_gmt":"2023-04-11T13:22:45","slug":"re-actions-against-intimate-partner-violence-ipv-actions-in-favor-of-women-survivors-of-ipv","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/antiviolence-net.eu\/eavn\/en\/re-actions-against-intimate-partner-violence-ipv-actions-in-favor-of-women-survivors-of-ipv\/","title":{"rendered":"Re-Actions against Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) &#8211; Actions in favor of women-survivors of IPV"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>European Anti-Violence Network implemented the Project entitled&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>&#8220;Re-Actions against Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) &#8211; Actions in favor of women-survivors of IPV&#8221;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">with co-financing by the European Social Fund in the framework of the category of action 3.2.4: \u201cSupport to Women\u2019s Organisations and Non-Governmental Organisations\u201d of the NSRF 2007-2013, OP Public Administration Reform (Implementation Body: General Secretariat for Gender Equality).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Objectives of the project were to contribute to&nbsp;<strong>primary, secondary and tertiary&nbsp;prevention of Intimate Partner Violence<\/strong>&nbsp;(IPV)&nbsp;via targeted:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>provision of information and support&nbsp;to women-survivors of IPV&nbsp;<\/strong>via:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the publication of the book&nbsp;<a><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.antiviolence-net.eu\/projects_GGIF_EN.htm#Odigos3\"><u>Guide on &#8220;How to Escape&#8221; from a Violent Relationship<\/u><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>operation of an&nbsp;Information Centre for IPV issues&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Training of health and social care professionals (distance learning)&nbsp;<\/strong>on IPV related issues&nbsp;(e.g. screening, danger assessment, safety planning and&nbsp;documentation of IPV). For the training seminars it was developed the educational material that also included ready-to-use tools. It describes, in a simple way, the&nbsp;<strong>legislative framework<\/strong>,&nbsp;the&nbsp;<strong>existing organizations\/agencies&nbsp;<\/strong>where she can ask for services of&nbsp;<strong>documentation<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>protection<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>support&nbsp;<\/strong>and\/or&nbsp;<strong>therapeutic services&nbsp;<\/strong>(for herself and her children), but also the &#8220;steps&#8221; that she should follow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first chapters of the Guide&nbsp;introduce readers to the phenomenon of Intimate Partner Violence&nbsp;and describe the living conditions, thoughts, feelings and difficulties that&nbsp;women&nbsp;survivors of violence are facing, the consequences of abuse, warning signs&nbsp;and myths that -unfortunately even today- surround the issue of women&#8217;s abuse by their intimate partner.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Guide is mostly written in the first person, using the voice&nbsp;of every woman that the storyteller&nbsp;met through her own journey, in order&nbsp;to describe the steps that she&nbsp;firstly&nbsp;had to find and then to follow in order to escape from her violent relationship.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.antiviolence-net.eu\/fff.png\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>European Anti-Violence Network implemented the Project entitled&nbsp;&nbsp;
