The Seminars were addressed to health and social care professionals&nbsp;(e.g. nurses, health visitors, psychologists, social workers, physicians, dentists, midwifes) in order to obtain appropriate skills that will enable them to conduct \u2013by using specific tools- screening, danger assessment, safety planning and documentation of cases of abuse but also to be able to conduct appropriate referrals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Seminars were conducted in&nbsp;<strong>two phases<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Phase&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>\u0391&#8217;&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>(finished) [February &#8211; June 2013&nbsp;(Attica prefecture)]:&nbsp;<\/strong>Training of 20 professionals<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>10 professionals: face-to-face seminar (24 hrs)&nbsp;and evaluation of the seminar and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>10 professionals: distance learning and&nbsp;face-to-face meetings (20 hrs) for the evaluation of the seminar&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Phase \u0392&#8217; (ongoing) [August &#8211; April 2014&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>(all prefectures)]:&nbsp;<\/strong>Training of 120 professionals: distance learning and evaluation of the seminar.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The educational material consists of five sessions:<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.antiviolence-net.eu\/leaflet.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Introduction to Intimate Partner Violence&nbsp;(IPV)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Screening of IPV<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Danger assessment of IPV&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Safety planning and documentation of IPV&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Legal framework, networking of organizations and referrals&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The educational material is also accompanied by ready-to-use tools that the trained professionals can use in order to conduct screening, danger assessment, safety planning and documentation of cases of IPV but also to conduct appropriate referrals according to the needs of every abused woman.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>More information about the seminars and registration requirements is available on the project&#8217;s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.antiviolence-net.eu\/leaflet.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Information leaflet<\/a>&nbsp;(<\/em><em>in Greek)<\/em><em>. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The training seminars are being implemented in the framework of the project:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8220;Re-Actions against Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) &#8211; Actions in favor of women-survivors of IPV&#8221;&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>with co-financing by the European Social Fund in the framework of the category of action 3.2.4: \u201cSupport to Women\u2019s Organisations and Non-Governmental Organisations\u201d of the NSRF 2007-2013, OP Public Administration Reform (Implementation Body: General Secretariat for Gender Equality).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Objectives of the project were to contribute to&nbsp;<strong>primary, secondary and tertiary&nbsp;prevention&nbsp;<\/strong>of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV)&nbsp;via targeted: &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>provision of information and support&nbsp;to women-survivors of IPV&nbsp;<\/strong>via:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>the publication of the book&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.antiviolence-net.eu\/Odigos_apodrasis_web\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><u>Guide on &#8220;How to Escape&#8221; from a Violent Relationship<\/u><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>operation of an&nbsp;Information Centre for IPV issues&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Training of health and social care professionals (distance learning)&nbsp;<\/strong>on IPV related issues.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>EAVN implemented&nbsp;Training Seminars (distance learning)&nbsp;for Health and Social Care Professionals&nbsp;on Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) related issues aiming at supporting women survivors of IPV.
