Antonia Tsirigoti obtained her Psychology degree in 2005 from Panteion University (Athens) and her Masters in Health Promotion and Education at the Medical School of Athens University in 2013.

From 2009 until 2014, she was working as a Psychologist/Researcher for the Centre for the Study and Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect, Department of Mental Health and Social Welfare, Institute of Child Health.

She is a co-founding member of the NGO European Anti-Violence Network (EAVN) and since 2006 she participates in National and European Projects and in various activities of EAVN as regards to the prevention of domestic violence and gender based violence, awareness raising and information, training of professionals etc.

She has worked as researcher-trainer and as project coordinator in Projects aiming to raise awareness of pupils regarding gender stereotypes, gender-based violence and development of healthy relationships.

From 2006 to 2007, she worked at the Center for Research and Prevention of Injuries (CE.RE.PR.I.), Department of Hygiene and Epidemiology, Medical School of Athens University, Greece.

For more than 5 years (2015-2020) she worked at the NGO “The Smile of the Child” in Greece as Coordinator of the Programs and Project’s dpt of the organization.

She has participated as author in editing manuals, books, and reports, as well as to announcements in Greek and International conferences related to issues of prevention of domestic violence and other.
