Short description
Domestic violence is one of Europe’s most severe and pervasive forms of violence against women. Solutions to end domestic abuse must tackle factors that enable abuse at all levels, and employ multidisciplinary expertise to combat the phenomenon.
The ISEDA project (Innovative Solutions to Eliminate Domestic Abuse) aims to combat and eliminate domestic violence by employing an enriched European approach, utilising modern technological tools and practices and multi-sectoral expertise in its activities.
The ISEDA project will promote and implement perpetrator programmes as an alternative to imprisonment and a chance for positive change, to significantly increase the quality of life of victims and perpetrators and of related families and communities.
A chatbot will be developed to inform women on ways to get help and assistance in collaboration with hotline numbers, police or other first responders to de-escalate violent situations. An integrated data platform will gather court-proof evidence, while ensuring safety and privacy ethics, to be used to build a legal case, and record trends on the nature, frequency and circumstances of the DV.
A training pathway targeting PAs will be deployed through interactive learning aiming to better assess DV situations, respond accordingly and provide appropriate assistance and a just treatment to cases.
Awareness on DV will be raised through campaigns and education programs for youth with focus on fostering know-how on deconstructing harmful gender stereotypes and GBV and promoting healthy relationships and zero tolerance to violence.
Overall, the ISEDA project has the potential to enhance the fight against domestic violence on a European level significantly and contribute to the establishment of the necessary robust long-lasting structures to eliminate it.
ISEDA is funded by Horizon 2020 (contract: 101073922).
