Campaign title: Until When?
Full title: Until When without STAndardized Operational Procedures (SOPs) for IPV Risk Assessment & Exertion of Intersectoral Cooperation

Greece ratified the CoE Istanbul Convention 6 years before in 2018 but the Government does not implements it. There are no real measures for survivors’ prompt protection and support via coordinated response of all Authorities and Organizations. A recent femicide before 10 days occurred of a 28-year old woman by her ex-boyfriend on the door step of the Police Station where she resorted for protection but they dismissed her, without even recording her name, with the instruction to call 911; she was murdered while speaking on the phone with the Police officer, who was mocking her by saying “the police car is not a taxi”. During the last 4 years 80 femicides are recorded (double increase of femicides; >2 femicides/ month).   Targeting mainly DV against women and children and sexual violence, the objective will be to advocate and exert as much political pressure as possible for the development and adoption of policies & practices that will effectively activate IC. The main activity will be to develop and implement an awareness raising and advocacy Campaign in Greece (podcasts, videos, advocacy meetings, etc).

The project is funded by the European Commission with intermediate partner the WAVE Network (Regranting under the CERV-2023-OG-SGA WAVE Operating Grant: Financial support to third parties).
